Vintage German teacup and saucer from the famous Blau Saks series made by Jäger Eisenberg.
The Jäger factory was established in 1870 by Ludwig Mehlhorn and Eduard Julius Jäger as a silent partner. In 1960 it merged to form the Vereinigte Kunstporzellanwerke Eisenberg (United Porcelain Works in Eisenberg), and in 1973 the German Democratic Republic nationalized the company.
The mark at the bottom of these pieces was in use between 1951 and 1989. These teacups and saucers are in undamaged, fairly good condition with signs of usage, saucers have slightly different shapes due to the production process.
