Being an architect, our brand creator holds PURITY to be the fundamental core of aesthetics and craftsmanship. We carefully understand how color stripes are laid out and composed on each fabric. When the creator behind TAGather 日常經典(/jihch'ang ching tien/) first encountered this local but yet be fully developed material, we started to contemplate about the number of items that possess high potentials but are overlooked in our daily life. While developing our own design items, we also want to convey the idea that in this fast fashion world, the craftsmanship is the key asset when specific local stories needed to be delivered along with style. Therefore, instead of having the merchandise made in low-labor markets, we insist on collaborating with the manufacturer that still sees the value of keeping their production house in Taiwan.
The birth of TAGather is more than just about creating a fashion brand. As its name suggests, we strive to TAG (discover) all the high skilled but fragmented industry segments. By starting this brand, we embark on a journey of connecting (Gathering) material to manufacturing ends. Through turning extremely functional design into reality, we sincerely present the best crafted merchandise to our valued customers.
TAGather Goods is primarily made of an often seen but mostly neglected material, PVC canvas sheet. Its usual application is for displaying visual graphics on T-bars along highways or awnings for sun and rain blocking purposes. Inherently, in terms of durability, its water proof, elasticity, and abrasion resistance nature enables it to perform far better than cotton canvas which is used a lot for tote bag related products globally. For stylish and innovative professionals, TAGather Goods sports all sharp looking, functionality and modern feel advantages. The transformability of high storage capacity definitely makes our product line the most optimal accessories for those working in design and creative fields, especially 2-3 days short trips for business or leisure often begins when just get off work!
However, due to its high resilience (each sheet is made of a mesh layer sandwiched between two color-coated PVC layers), the manufacturing processes pose high challenges than if using any other clothes. Only when manufacturers’ craftsmanship reach certain level can the high level of precision and aesthetics be achieved.
