The MALUT brand was created featuring a bearded character due to a preference for men with beards.

麻甩 ＭＡ LＵT หม่าลั่ด is a Cantonese slang which is commonly used to describe a man who looks cheesy in his words and actions.

Playful and stylish, ＭＡ LＵT หม่าลั่ด is full of emotions with unique humour. The cool-looking bearded man always puts on his sunglasses and pays attention to things around him quietly. Living in the fast-paced city of Hong Kong, Malut yearns for the slow-life style in Thailand. Yet, he never stops trying, dares to step out of his comfort zone and take a bold stride.

MALUT has two good friends: an elephant named PACHY and a frog named FROGGY. PACHY is MALUT's pet and good friend, named after "Pachyderm" (a thick-skinned large mammal). He is an elephant with thick skin who doesn't care about others' opinions, yet he is fun and intelligent. On the other hand, FROGGY is a bit clumsy, akin to a frog in a well, always panicking excessively and reluctant to accept new things. Nonetheless, MALUT and PACHY still love and support him.
