Glorikami Studio was founded in 2014 by Kittikune Attakamol (Yim) and Chollathorn Poothong (Tong). They came together to create quality jewelry made by Thai craftsmen and use local production processes. Their goal was to put a smile on the faces of animal lovers, whether they were wearing the jewelry themselves or giving it as a gift to someone special.
The designs are inspired by Yim's childhood love of origami, a Japanese art form. The unique paper folding technique is used as a design concept, using the shapes of various animals to create modern graphic images. This reminds people of the importance of different animal species that share the world with humans. We all help and support each other in this world, so we create pieces to remind people to think about animals, not to harm them, and to help care for and conserve them so that they can continue to exist. Part of the proceeds from the sale of our animal products will also be donated to relevant animal organizations on various occasions.
The name "Glorikami" comes from the combination of the word "Glory", which means prosperity and brilliance, and the Japanese word "kami", which has many meanings, including god or paper. When put together, it has a positive meaning, such as the god of glory, and it also sounds similar to the word "origami".
With all of these brand concepts, Glorikami wants to create pieces that give a good feeling and bring happiness to everyone in the world, whether it be humans or animals that share our world. We hope that our work will bring smiles and happiness to everyone.
