The Chinese name 聽波圖解 (Tīng bō tú jiě) also contains another layer of meaning. “Tīng bō “means listening to the waves and “tú jiě” means illustration. “Bō ” refers to the waves we hear, and our creations are the mark we leave in response to the raging. “Bō” is also a character in our father’s name, which we like very much. Hence, we have chosen this character as part of our name. Wandering among paintings is our way of interpreting and annotating beauty with images.
