Raw lacquer will blacken the wood. There are currently nine wooden shapes for reference in the wooden cup course, each with different characteristics. There are a total of five types of wood to choose from, each with a different wood color and texture. The wood color will become darker after the raw lacquer is applied. If you want to retain the original wood color, you can choose to apply wood wax oil or varnish on the outside of the dish.
