[Shiroi Koibito, who became famous thanks to his management image]
Shiroi Koibito manufacturer and seller Ishiya Confectionery was founded in Showa 22, and for a long time it was just a small confectionery manufacturer in Sapporo. The second-generation operator Seok Sui-hoon inherited his parents' legacy and became the president. In 1951, he was inspired by the Grenoble Winter Olympics documentary "White Lovers" and developed White Lovers. Ishiya Confectionery initially promoted its products mainly in department stores, and then decided to expand its sales through in-flight meals.
After some marketing and promotion, in October of the 1950s, ANA decided to use Shiroi Koibito as its in-flight dessert when promoting a trip to Hokkaido. Although it was only a short-term planning event lasting two weeks, it caused a huge response, which is also the key to Shiroi Koibito being recognized as a specialty of Hokkaido. Shiroi Koibito cleverly rode on the boom during the peak period of Chitose Airport expansion and route expansion.
In addition, Shiroi Koibito was only sold in Hokkaido at the time and was not sold in other areas. This was also a very important strategy. President Seishui Isao actively participated in various local publicity activities, making Shiroi Koibito's image inseparable from Hokkaido, and then becoming a famous product closely connected with the land.
