The designer of Dancing Goddess is John Fleishman II.
John Fleishman II's artistic talent and academic knowledge were reflected in the ancient Roman and Greek periods, giving him a place in the field of British WEDGWOOD pottery.
For seven years he settled in Rome and Italy,
Studying ancient Greek and Roman literature and discovering that culture inspired him.
John Fleissmann II was inspired by the wall shelves of Villa Borghese in Rome in the late 18th century.
In the mid-1770s, a model with a "dancing goddess" theme was designed.
There were originally 12 dancing goddesses, but many of Wedgwood's designs sometimes only featured one, three, six or eight goddesses.
In Greek and Roman mythology, the dancing goddess mainly depicts the goddess Horae who is in charge of the seasons in Greek mythology.
