Fi-Né Crossing Dimensions Album - Digital Audio & Video - Plastic Purple

Product Description

Fi-Né is a musical duo composed of Susen and Philip D'Avilar, a cross-cultural collaboration that began in Taiwan and extended to the United States. The duo's concept is "idealistic dreamers," believing in the universe, inner strength, dreams, the impossible, and miracles. Susen grew up in Taipei and began studying classical piano and composing at the age of seven. She worked as a recording studio assistant at Lights Up Studio and as a music production assistant at Avex Taiwan, where she participated in concert tours with A-Lin, Shin, and Xiao Yu. She later participated in the children's music album of Creativity Music and collaborated with cellist Fan Zong-pei to critical acclaim. She moved to the United States in 2013 to study animation and formed a band shortly thereafter. Philip, on the other hand, grew up in the United States and is of Panamanian and Guyanese descent. He began playing jazz drums and was exposed to rap music at a young age. He formed a band at the age of 14 and performed in North Carolina, where he bought his first Tascam recording equipment. He later worked as a recording assistant at Electric Lady Studios in New York and participated in the production of Adele, U2, Usher, Lorde, and others. He then collaborated with Xiao Yu and A-Fu and began his "music" affinity with Taiwanese musicians. Fi-Né's music combines multiple musical cultures and incorporates hip-hop, jazz, pop, and R&B elements. They were married in secret in 2016 and moved to New York. Philip worked as a diamond setting technician during the day and interned at Electric Lady Studios at night, while Susen worked for an art company in New York and designed for five-star hotels such as W Hotel, Hilton, and Marriott. However, their passion for music remained strong. Susen had worked as a recording assistant and music production assistant in the Taiwanese music industry, but her passion for music never waned. She wanted to create her own sound, not just follow trends or obey orders from superiors. Philip worked day and night at Electric Lady Studios and even set up his own recording studio in Queens, New York, but his dream of focusing on his own music never faded. In the end, the duo moved back to Taiwan in 2019 to connect with Taipei musicians and embark on their musical journey. Their latest album, "Crossing Dimensions," tells the story of their stumbling music dreams and their unwillingness to give up on them. It also talks about true love, waiting, and enduring hardships together.
