These earrings are a replica of of ancient jewelry from 7 ct AD excavated at Slavonic cemetery in Bled (the original is kept at the Regional Museum Kranj, Slovenia). They are slightly redesigned and adapted for modern day wear, but keep the spirit of the original piece. They are hand crafted with traditional tools and techniques by Thai artisans in 98% silver and are a fruit of collaboration between Stories and the Regional Museum of Kranj, Slovenia and can be found also in their museum shop.
Our products are hand crafted in 98% Silver by Thai Karen hill-tribe artisans. The Karen are a group of ethnic peoples who reside primarily in southern and southeastern Burma and in northern and north-eastern Thailand. Thai and Burmese hill tribes can be traced back to the 12th century when they are said to have originated from Tibet.
With a higher silver content than sterling silver, Karen silver has a weight, bright satin color and feel, all of its own. Every piece is handmade and individual.
The product comes with traditional Thai packaging and includes tracking number for safer shipping.
We can produce it in about 2-3 weeks after ordering, in case it's currently out of stock.
