**/ What is Macrame /**
Macrame refers to the art of freely weaving the rope into beautiful patterns with only hands without hooking, knitting, weaving and other tools.
Macrame originated in 13th century Arabic - "migramah" weaver. At the time it was referred to as decorative fabrics for camels and horses, which in addition to being beautiful, kept nuisance insects away. Macrame was then introduced to France by the Moors and then spread throughout Europe. Introduced to the United Kingdom in the late 17th century, it became popular in the Victorian period and was mostly used in home accessories.
