At present, there are a few dozens of stalls selling cloth in Yen Chow Street Temporary Hawker Bazaar (YCS Bazaar) in Sham Shui Po, and their customers are mainly practitioners of the fashion design industry and students taking the relevant programmes, as well as textile and garment lovers.
The government has suggested that the Sham Shui Po Yen Chow Street Hawker Bazaar, one of the last fabric bazaars left in the city, should move to Tung Chow Street, following its notice to hawkers to quit the current site to make way for public housing.
