Nanren Mountain is located in Manzhou Township, Pingtung County and is under the jurisdiction of Kenting National Park.
It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean, Jialeshui Scenic Area to the south, and Taiping Mountain and its nearby ridges and ravines to the north.
Nanren Mountain Ecological Reserve is a natural tropical monsoon rainforest and one of the only remaining low-altitude virgin forests in Taiwan.
Affected by the special monsoon and rainfall seasons, it has a very rich ecological landscape
This diverse topography includes hills, valleys, swamps, streams, slopes and grasslands, etc.
There is also a rare phenomenon of “vegetation compression”
Due to its remote location and few human traces, it is home to more than 2,000 species of plants and various wild animals.
Including more than 1,200 species of higher plants, 129 species of butterflies, nearly 100 species of birds, and a variety of mammals and reptiles
The environmental education trail starts from the Nanren Mountain Management Station and extends to the bank of Nanren Lake. The total length is about 4.3 kilometers, and the round trip is about 8.6 kilometers. It takes about 3-4 hours to walk around.
Apart from a few wooden benches for visitors to take a break, no artificial safety facilities are provided along the trail.
In addition, it is prohibited to bring food into the Nanren Mountain Ecological Reserve, and there are no sales stalls.
There are three lakes in Nanren Mountain Ecological Reserve that are dry all year round, among which Nanren Lake is the most famous.
Located in the Nanren Mountain Ecological Reserve in the northeast corner of Kenting National Park, it is a 150-hectare natural freshwater lake.
The vegetation on the lakeside is green, mainly aquatic plants. Common plants include fireflies, waterweeds, wild water chestnuts, Silver, etc.
It also provides habitat and food sources for the corvids or herons, making it a unique ecological landscape in the Nanren Mountain Ecological Reserve.

For safety reasons, please make sure that you are in good health and suitable for engaging in strenuous outdoor activities. 1. Once the application is successful, rescheduling/personnel changes and refunds are not possible.
2. The park is closed every Tuesday. Every year, New Year's Eve and May are the closing periods for each environmental education field (route). Applications and admissions will not be accepted during the closure period.
3. Activity arrangements will be adjusted due to participant conditions/facility conditions/weather factors, with safety and overall quality as the highest consideration.
4. In the event of force majeure factors such as typhoon, heavy rain, water conditions, etc., and the company assesses that the day is not suitable for activities, the company reserves the right to change the itinerary, such as postponement or cancellation.
5. If there are changes due to factors such as weather or event venue, we will notify you by phone or message as soon as possible to let you fully understand the situation. Please ensure that the contact information is correct. If you fill in the wrong information and the subsequent contact cannot be reached, your rights and interests may be damaged (for example, you will not be able to participate in the event), and refunds will not be possible.
6. Until the end of the activity, you should agree to abide by the following regulations: (1) Do not overtake the coach (2) Follow the coach's instructions throughout the process (3) Do not leave the team (4) Leave no trace in the forest (5) Pay attention to your own safety. Please be responsible for any accidental casualties caused by personal negligence, or if you conceal your personal discomfort and fail to proactively inform the company or the on-site commentator.
7. If you do not participate in the event due to personal reasons during the non-cancellable period, extensions and refunds will not be accepted. (Examples of personal factors: diagnosis, injury, menstrual period, car accident, oversleeping...) Participants are responsible for reading this clause before making payment, and understand and bear the relevant risks.
8. Late arrival/no-show: If a participant is overdue for more than 20 minutes from the meeting time, the registration will be automatically canceled and no additional waiting will be required or participants will be accepted to join the event midway. Participants who are unable to participate in the event due to lateness/no-show will not be refunded or postponed. If there is a slight delay (within 20 minutes), please inform the coach of the day 15-20 minutes before the meeting.
9. Please carefully read the relevant itinerary content of the activities you are participating in and the provisions of this article. Completing the registration and payment is deemed to have fully understood and agreed to this article and the details of the itinerary of the activities you are participating in.
10. When entering the ecological reserve, it is prohibited to damage the facilities and original natural landscapes in the area, and it is prohibited to bring animals (cats, dogs) and plants into the area to avoid affecting the natural ecology.
11. Every leaf and stone in the nature reserve, even if it seems inconspicuous, is regarded as a valuable asset protected by the state and cannot be taken away for collection at will!
Thoughtful reminder
1. Please bring your personal ID with photo and application documents for admission.
2. It is recommended to bring your own: enough water, snacks, rain gear, mosquito repellent, sun protection/warm clothing
3. Recommended clothing: Please wear comfortable shoes. Those who are afraid of the sun should wear thin long sleeves, leggings, and a hat.
4. There is no storage facility on site, please do not bring valuables.
5. There are no toilet facilities on site, so please use the toilet before departure.
