The chestnut plate uses two-color parts of the wood itself, and the material itself is formed in one piece. Also because the white part (the lower edge of the chestnut plate) is close to the bark, it is prone to cracks and it is difficult to obtain intact and crack-free materials. Therefore, it is not easy to obtain the wood suitable for making chestnut trays in two colors.
