Provence spice

Herbes de Provence is a traditional blend of spices, commonly used in Southern French or European cuisine. It usually has a distinct flavor of synthetic vanilla, but the characteristic is that it has a more delicate fennel fragrance of Artemisia annua, which is a less common flavor of synthetic vanilla. There is also the elegant fragrance of celery seeds and the floral fragrance of lavender buds. Generally, Provencal spices are composed of thyme, rosemary, campanula, sweet basil, sage, oregon, celery and marjoram, and some will add artemisia and lavender buds.
