The inspiration behind Troll Vase began with the study of glass properties-how the intensity of the color changes according to the thickness of the glass. The name Troll (mountain monster) comes from a painting by the famous Norwegian painter Theodor Kittelsen, which depicts the water soul of Norse mythology-Nøkken, slowly rising from the dark water of a forest pond.
