Collection Discussion Series - 2020 Taoyuan Museum of Art Oil Painting and Watercolor Collection Research Special Issue

In 2019, the Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts launched the "Collection Discussion Series", and published special issues on calligraphy and ink collection research. The third volume of "Collections" - Taoyuan Museum of Fine Arts 2020 Special Issue on Oil Painting and Watercolor Collection Research, invited Dean Chen Kuangyi of the Academy of Fine Arts, National Taiwan University of Arts; and Qiu Linting, an adjunct assistant professor of Fu Jen Catholic University's Cultural and Creative Program. Dean Chen Kuangyi discussed the museum's collections from 2018 to 2019, and extended the discussion and comparative analysis of the current situation and policies of domestic and foreign collections; Director Xie Jiajuan studied and examined the landscape paintings in the collection, and discussed the context and evolution of modern and contemporary landscape paintings ;Professor Chen Huaien compares the aesthetic consciousness and taste principles of the artist's creations from the oil painting and watercolor collections, and investigates and analyzes the way of viewing the works; Teacher Qiu Linting starts from the discussion of self-portraits and takes the period from the Japanese occupation period to 1990 as the time. The axis connects the works of different periods and the discussion of the artists.
