Mitani Yoshihisa, who designed all OLYMPUS PEN series, worked on OM-1. At that time, SLR was heavy and big so he tried to make SLR as small as possible. OM-1 is one of the most popular SLR camera in the world but as you know, getting a good one is hard because of the problems below. 1:Prism corrosion occurs very often. (About 7 out of 10 have this problem.) 2:Light meter doesn't work. 3:Mirror locked-up also occurs a lot. However please don't worry I repaired all functions to work properly. I've been working at one of the oldest film camera repair shops in Japan which is authorized by OLYMPUS,PEMTAX,NIKON,CANON,KONICA,MINOLTA. After the repair, I changed the cover to a real wood sheet.
