The satanic leaf-tailed gecko, commonly known as the Satanic leaf-tailed gecko, is a nocturnal animal and one of the 14 species of gecko in the genus Uroplatus. It is only distributed in Madagascar. It may be the most well-known creature in the world. Even the aye-aye can only have a reputation. Scientists call it Uroplatusphantasticus. The former means "broad flat tail" and the latter means "Oh my god, this weird little thing keeps looking at me." But its devilish appearance is not something people can just admire, it is the result of natural selection.
