A small authentic Russian / Soviet chess set from Mordovia (province in Russia). 1960s-70s. Was nicknamed “Latvian” by collectors as it was seen on numerous photographs from Riga with Mikhail Tal playing these chess pieces. King 7 cm. Made of wood, kings are made of plastic.
