**Fenyin pottery**
Fenyin pottery is a very old technique. This technique was introduced from the Korean Peninsula in the early days, but it has been used in Japan for four to five hundred years. At that time, Japan did not have the technology to make white porcelain, and potters made brown or black porcelain. The pottery clay is made into utensils, soaked in make-up clay after drying, and then fired with transparent glaze. This technique was later called "Fenyin".
Due to the difference in the thickness of the makeup soil on the milky white surface, the original color of the underlying brown soil will be revealed on the utensils, and the iron or soil particles of the original subsoil will faintly emerge, so the white layer of the powder is very rich, completely different from the hard and cold white porcelain. The sharp touch and the simple and warm soft taste are fascinating. It looks simple and unpretentious, but it has a rich texture. It is very popular in modern Japan.
