With three simple steps, you can easily make prints at school or at home!

(1) Printmaking
1-1Draw a rough drafton cardboardwith apencil/ Size: 26 x 36.2 cm
1-2Colored paperDraw the shape you want to cut
1-3Cut the colored paper according to the draft, tear off the backing paper, and stick it on the thick cardboard(the colored paper has a glue backing, just tear it offstick it!)
1-4Colored paper can also betorn into small pieces and pasted(step can be omitted and provided for different creative)
1-5You can useoil-based crayonsto draw circles or lines on the colored paper(the colored area will appear white after rubbing)
The clipart is done!

(2) Prepare Japanese paper
2-1Place the newspaper underneathplace the paper with the [rough side] facing upwards!
2-2Spray water evenly towardJapanese paper
2-3Spray the Japanese paper until it becomestranslucent
2-4Cover it with a piece of newspaperand patgently with your handsabsorb excess moisture

(3) Make a rubbing
Put newspapers → printing paper → Japanese paper → newspapers in this order

3-1Put newspapers underneath (to absorb excess moisture)****then put the cutout paper on top
3-2Placewet Japanese paper [rough side] downwardto make a rubbing
※ NOTE ※Too much water may cause the ink to smudge or make black difficult to print!
3-3Put the newspaper on top again, and useMa Lian to press hard(make sure to press down every position) to make the pattern printed on the Japanese paper
3-4If**you can press ityour fingers to strengthen it**
3-5Pick uppaper
Color paper printmaking is complete!Three copies can be printed～
※Note※The pattern will be reversed left and right after rubbing!
