From the Bangladesh capital, Dhaka, CORR-The Jute Works was founded in 1970, when Bangladesh is experiencing famine, there are many charitable organizations and foreign aid material inputs, but founder Kalitas Feeling temporary relief materials can not be sustainable, The group was set up to manufacture, use locally produced jute woven into linen basket, sack, output through Europe and NGO organizations to foreign markets. Now in addition to jute handicrafts, they also began producing pottery.
CORR-The Jute Works currently has a composition by the 6000 women's production network, where workers can receive technical guidance, financing, as well as quality control and product design proposals. Because of work here, many women to literacy in reading, even self shop.
