Serving Kuroda Josui, Kuroda Nagamasa and Toyotomi Hideyori, he made numerous military achievements and was depicted as a hero in the Edo era, such as "Kuroda Twenty-four Knights" and "Kuroda Hattora", as well as in talks and military storytelling of roles in Osaka. It was counted as one of the "Osaka Castle Five People".
